For starters, the managers should identify and make note of all the potential ways through which accidents can occur in their work environment and the employees which are vulnerable to them. After this, the likelihood of each of these accidents should be estimated, and caution against these accidents should be prioritized according to this list. It cannot be emphasized enough that management must take essential steps to reduce the occurrence of accidents and make this task a priority.

Once all the possible ways, through which accidents can occur, are identified, the management should come up with the ways to stop them or counter them. The preventive and protection measures should be taken with the use of a prioritization plan. The nature of each job should be well-known so that it is clear to all the employees as to who does what and when. This allows them to understand the best way in which they could do their job, in the safest and most secure manner possible.
